Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:00am-4:30pm), Friday (8:00am-2:30pm)

Loom Talent have been retained by a leading innovator in temperature solutions to find a Technical Sales Engineer who will drive business growth and provide expert technical support to industries such as; Aerospace, Energy, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Steel, Aluminium & Manufacturing.
The Role
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will operate on a hybrid working pattern, playing a pivotal role in engaging with customers, identifying tailored solutions, and supporting the sales team with expert knowledge on temperature technologies (including thermocouples, RTDs, and temperature measurement instrumentation). This role combines business development, technical consulting, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement - Build strong relationships, understand customer needs, and provide expert solutions.
- Sales & Business Development - Work closely with the sales team to identify new opportunities and develop compelling proposals.
- Technical Expertise - Provide in-depth guidance on temperature sensing products, assist with integration, and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Training & Support - Train customers on calibration and sensor applications, offering ongoing technical assistance.
- Reporting & Documentation - Maintain records of customer interactions, market trends, and competitor insights.
The Candidate
- A Higher Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field - Advantageous.
- Prior experience in technical sales or engineering (ideally within the temperature sensing or instrumentation industry) - Advantageous.
- A minimum of 3+ years Sales experience - Essential.
- Strong understanding of temperature sensors, calibration techniques, and relevant industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, AMS 2750, BS EN 9100) - Advantageous.
- Skilled in negotiation, customer engagement, and account management - Essential.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an engaging and understandable way - Essential.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, industrial automation, data acquisition systems, and Microsoft Office - Essential / AutoCAD knowledge - Advantageous.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player with a drive for continuous learning and improvement - Essential.
The Package
- Salary - £35,000 to £45,000 (DOE).
