Leaving Care Personal Advisor

Dorset Council are looking for a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join their team based in Dorchester.As a Leaving Care Personal Advisor you will:

  • Support young people aged between 16 and 25 years going through the asylum process
  • Work collaboratively with all partners to identify and meet individual's needs, assisting young people to participate in pathway planning to ensure that their plans properly reflect their individual strengths, aspirations and needs
  • Provide advice and guidance to young people aged 16-25 going through the asylum process
  • Deliver a full range of statutory responsibilities under the Leaving Care Act 2000
  • Conduct home visits, community work, and meetings in Council offices with occasional remote work

Requirements

  • Experience delivering high-quality services to young people, families or other vulnerable individuals
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle suitable to travel
  • Experience within a similar role
