Social Worker – Level 3 (Child Protection Team)Location: Dorset (Hybrid)Contract: OngoingMyn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term partner for a Level 3 Social Worker to join their Child Protection Team. This role is crucial in safeguarding children’s welfare and ensuring they receive the care and support they need. If you have experience in statutory services and are committed to making a difference, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise.What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver statutory services in line with the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation, focusing on safeguarding and preventing harm.
  • Conduct assessments of children’s needs, creating and updating effective plans to support their well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and other professionals to deliver holistic support.
  • Prepare and present reports for court proceedings and multi-agency meetings, acting as an advocate for children.
  • Apply specific intervention methods and provide advice and support to help families become more self-sufficient.
  • Maintain accurate records on the core computer system and ensure the data quality for management information.
  • Mentor less experienced social workers, contributing to a supportive team environment.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Social Work Degree or equivalent (e.g., CQSW, DIPSW) and Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience with Child Protection, Child in Need, and Children in Care cases, as well as court proceedings.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory legislation and procedures for child protection, including risk management and intervention models.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to support team members and work collaboratively across agencies.
  • A valid driving licence, as travel across the county is required to meet the needs of the role.
