Lead Workforce Category Manager - NHSAgency Reference Number: 83457

We are working with an NHS organisation based in Surrey to recruit a Lead Workforce Category Manager on a permanent basis.

The position predominantly focuses on the workforce category and will act as the NHSCS expert on providing professional leadership and direction for recruitment, bank, rostering and workforce compliance ensuring efficient, innovative and consistent HR sourcing, contract management and consultancy services across a wide range of customers.

Full time: 37.5 hours a week (Mon - Fri)

Salary: Band 8a Fringe - £52,963 - £59,360 per annum

Location: Surrey (hybrid working)

Key Duties:

  • Strategically drive the NHS and wider public sector through the delivery of projects, frameworks and call off procurements for customers
  • Have extensive engagement with member NHS organisations and other NHS and public sector customers, across a wide range of stakeholders, based locally, regionally and nationally
  • Provide workforce advisory services, collaborative workforce solutions, supplier market expertise and work with NHS Trusts to build and retain talent
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and internal and external customers, you will set up and support individual and collaborative project groups working at all levels of stakeholder seniority
  • Support the development and delivery of a strategic and operational procurement service
  • Engage with supplier markets to maintain the highest standard of market intelligence
  • Lead the process of evaluation and bid assessment, ensuring that the processes are equitable, transparent and defensible and ensure that the customer attains best quality and value
  • Be responsible for the assessment of bidder documentation according to financial viability, risk, sustainability and alignment with current strategies
  • Work with the Heads of Procurement across the region to ensure the necessary information to make informed decisions regarding the best practice procurement approach

The successful candidate must:

  • Have experience in Workforce, HR Services, Recruitment, Resourcing and Procurement
  • Have previous experience working within the NHS
  • Be able to commute on site and across sites in the South East as and when required
