We are seeking an Interim Payroll Officer for a three-month contract with the potential for extension or a permanent role. The position is based in East London with a hybrid working model requiring at least three days in the office per week.
The Temporary Payroll Officer’s responsibilities include:
- Overseeing payroll processing for salaried and additional employees using the fully integrated IRIS system.
- Reviewing automated payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensuring correct processing of maternity pay, sick pay, tax codes, and statutory payments (SSP).
- Managing attachments of earnings and pension contributions.
- Liaising with local managers to resolve payroll queries and ensure compliance.
The successful Temporary Payroll Officer will have:
- Strong payroll experience, including pensions and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills for payroll data management and analysis.
- Excellent communication and patience for handling queries on payslips and policies.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
