An exciting opportunity newly created for an Assistant FBP role at a A Private equity backed manufacturing client of Marks Sattin's.

Your day to day responsibilities will be to provide accurate and timely financial information to support strategic goals of revenue and EBITDA growth. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, and previous experience in business partnering or working closely with non-financial teams.In this role, you will support the Operational Finance team with data management and analysis to make strategic decisions based on accurate financial numbers.A Typical day to day will include:

  • To support the Operational Finance team with data management / analysis to make divisional strategic decisions supported by accurate financial numbers. This role involves collaborating with different teams to ensure that financial projects align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Manage the excel based system of data and contributing to the thorough implementation of the IFS system and transfer of data.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and performance trends.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to departmental and operational leaders, supporting their financial understanding and decisions.
  • Collaborate with non-finance stakeholders to translate financial data into meaningful narratives and recommendations.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide input into long-term financial planning and strategy discussions.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives, presenting them effectively to senior management.
  • Assist in preparing business cases for new projects or investments, ensuring robust financial modelling and risk assessment.
  • Streamline financial processes and improve data quality to enhance decision-making.
  • Support the implementation and utilisation of financial systems and tools.
