Interim HR Business Partner

They are looking for an Interim ill work in partnership with business leaders, key stakeholders and HR colleagues to shape, develop and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the business.  Acting as a trusted advisor, the HRBP will advise, guide and support employees and managers by providing high level people management and development support across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support strategic HR initiatives across the site/region to drive business growth and foster employee engagement
  • Provide expert guidance to managers and employers on HR matters, including policy, performance management, attendance and employee relations
  • Offer commercially focused HR advice to leadership, influencing decisions to optimise performance through effective people strategies
  • Deliver comprehensive HR initiatives across key areas such as workforce planning, restructuring, recruitment, talent management, compensation, employee relations, engagement and performance management
  • Collaborate with leadership and the global HR team to drive workforce planning, talent development and succession strategies
  • Engage in culture-building efforts to enhance employee satisfaction, retention and organisational alignment
  • Support managers and employees in addressing and resolving workplace issues and conflicts
  • Regularly update and maintain HR policies, ensuring full compliance with UK employment laws and best practices
  • Maintain knowledge on the legal framework governing HR practices and modernise HR processes to align with evolving standards
  • Leverage HR metrics and workforce data to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with leadership and work closely with the global HR team to implement organisational changes based on employee feedback and performance data
  • Drive efficiency improvements by coordinating changes to HR processes and systems
  • Oversee and manage the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accuracy and timely completeness of employee records
  • Produce HR reports and analytics to inform decision-making and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle and HR administrative tasks, including contract administration, onboarding, and maintaining up-to-date employee files
  • Provide support for payroll processing by ensuring the accurate transfer of employee data to the finance team
  • Streamline HR processes to align with best practices, utilising technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness

To thrive in this role you should bring:

  • University degree in Human Resources Management and/or CIPD Level 7 qualified (or actively working towards certification)
  • Extensive experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment
  • Experience working in a large matrix organization is preferable
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies and UK employment law
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Extensive experience of operating in a business partner model, working with local managers to create positive business outcomes
  • Exceptional ability to communicate openly and authentically in all situations, fostering a transparent and collaborative work environment
