To support our ambitious growth plans, we currently have a new opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our Business Services team - experience working with clients from the medical sector would be advantageous. As a key player in our team, the Tax Manager will also take on the crucial responsibility of supporting and guiding junior team members, nurturing their development for the next stage of progression. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio, including non-corporate clients and General Practitioner (GP) clients. You'll be the go-to expert, helping our clients navigate their tax affairs and strategically plan for their tax liabilities.

About the role:

  • Collaborate on a portfolio of clients, delivering a top-tier advisory service with support from the Tax Director and Tax Partner.
  • Manage a non-corporate client portfolio, ensuring the quality of work meets the highest standards before client submission.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of superannuation certificates for all GP Practices and Salaried GPs.
  • Provide expert assistance with Annual Allowance pension tax reviews and Scheme Pays Elections for clients.
  • Delegate work to junior team members, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback for their development.
  • Stay current with key admin functions and tax processes, ensuring continuity across the practice.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, including graduate trainees, fostering their growth in their roles.
  • Conduct Medical and Taxation training to upskill all members of the Business Services team.
  • Work closely with Engagement Partners, keeping them informed of client file progress.
  • Attend client meetings alongside the Partner.
  • Contribute to the Business Development of the department through content creation and networking efforts.

About you:

  • Suitable Tax qualification, such as CTA or equivalent.
  • Experience in completing tax compliance records.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical outlook, willingness to voice opinions, and ask questions when needed.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent accuracy in technical work.
