IT Systems & Application Engineer - Worcestershire

Are you looking to work with the latest technology in the electronics industry as an IT Systems & Application Engineer?

Do you have experience programming in C# and Javascript as well as proficient knowledge of Windows & Linux administration, SQL, or Web Services?

This is a permanent, hybrid opportunity, working for a dynamic, growing, electronic production company in Worcestershire, offering 30,000-40,000 with additional benefits!

Please note that applicants must have full permission to work in the UK, as sponsorship will NOT be offered for the role.

What does the role entail?

  • Technical reviews of IT requirements for successful installation of production and test equipment at customer sites.
  • Implementing Smart Factory Solutions (software and hardware) for customers in all sectors of EMS industry.
  • Ensure the delivery of the products and services.
  • Become an important contact for your customers when it comes to analysing and developing concepts and problem solutions.
  • When carrying out evaluations and projects, you will work together with the sales and after sale team.
  • You will also be responsible for the installation, familiarisation, training, service and maintenance of new installed equipment but also existing equipment already installed in field.
  • Where possible, you will support customers remotely.
  • You will support IT infrastructure at Altus HQ in Redditch.

What skills will you have?

The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of industrial automation and MES in SMT manufacturing as well as practical experience with industry standards such as iTAC, SECS/GEM, CFX or Hermes as a PLUS.

  • C# and Java Script and knowledge in the areas of Windows & Linux administration, SQL, web services or TCP/IP development.
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills characterise you, as well as smart communication and a flexible mindset.
  • With your willingness to demonstrate and learn, you are no stranger to service & customer orientation.
  • You have successfully completed your studies (course in computer science, business informatics, engineering or similar).
