Senior Quantity Surveyor Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will take the lead in managing the financial aspects of residential projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cost management process for residential projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate financial risks.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and implement value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, particularly in residential construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, legislation, and financial management.
  • Excellent analytic, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, cost management software).
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
