Reeson Education is excited to be partnering with a well-established school in Hyde to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Mentor. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to support students with SEMH, autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs. You will be working closely with a dynamic team to provide tailored support and help students achieve their full potential.

Learning Support Mentor Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, working closely with the class teacher and SEN team.
  • Implement structured learning programs and strategies to promote students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Help foster an inclusive environment where every student feels supported and valued.
  • Assist with behavioural management strategies and encourage positive, independent learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to the teaching team.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of tailored lessons and interventions.

The Ideal Learning Support Mentor Will:

  • Have experience supporting students with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or similar needs.
  • Possess strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
  • Be confident in managing challenging behaviour and supporting students' social and emotional development.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Hold a relevant qualification or have experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).

Learning Support Mentor Additional Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Two professional references from the last 3 years.
