Reeson Education is partnering with a dedicated education setting in Wythenshawe to find an exceptional Learning Support Mentor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Mentor to make a meaningful impact, supporting students who require additional guidance in their learning and personal development.

This Learning Support Mentor role is available immediately and is a full-time, long-term position with the opportunity for progression.

About the Learning Support Mentor Role:
  • As a Learning Support Mentor, you will work closely with students, helping them engage in learning and develop key life skills.

  • You will support pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH, autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

  • The Learning Support Mentor will provide one-to-one and small group support, fostering confidence and motivation in students.

  • You will collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and academic progress.

  • The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

The Ideal Learning Support Mentor Will:
  • Have experience working with children or young people in a school, alternative provision, or similar setting.

  • Be confident supporting pupils with SEMH needs, autism, ADHD, and other learning challenges.

  • Be proactive, patient, and adaptable in responding to individual student needs.

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

  • Hold a relevant qualification in education, child development, or a related field (desirable but not essential).

Learning Support Mentor Requirements:
  • You will go through our quick and simple vetting process, with 24/7 consultant support.

  • A clear Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Two professional references covering the last three years.

  • Experience working with pupils who have SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
