** Group Financial Controller Opportunity – South Coast ***

Grafton Banks Finance is partnering exclusively with a growing PE backed global business on the South Coast in their search for an experienced ACA Group Financial Controller. This role offers a significant opportunity to support the business as they target further international expansion.

Managing the finance team and leading the company’s financial accounting, tax, treasury, and general financial activities. Ensuring they are carried out commercially, efficiently, effectively and in line with all regulatory requirements.  Working at a strategic and advisory level, as well as taking a ‘hands on’ approach in accordance with the business needs.

Working closely with the CFO, this role gives exposure to all aspects of financial control – technical accounting, multi-currency consolidations, financial operations/transactional finance, tax, treasury, systems implementation, and post-acquisition accounting and integration.

The role

  • Financial Controller, reporting to the CFO
  • Oversight of the finance team (10-12), dispersed across UK and overseas.
  • The finance team includes financial reporting and internal controls, technical accounting, multi-currency consolidations, month end close, operational finance, audit, vat, corporation tax, treasury, cashflow, and post-acquisition integration.
  • You will have responsibility for general ledger staff, as well as credit control, revenue recognition, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Responsibility for statutory compliance, company secretarial matters, and managing the company debt facility.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the Qualifications and Experience below: 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA) with 1st time passes, trained in a large audit firm, with 5-10 years post qualified experience.
  • Coming from a sizeable Financial Controller position in a £100-300m business.
  • Significant experience with technical accounting, financial operations, multi-currency financial consolidations, financial control, fair value accounting, tax, treasury, systems implementation, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Skilled at leading a multinational team to success.
  • Experience managing an operational finance team – Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger.
  • Energetic, technically strong, commercial, and ambitious.
  • Eager to be in the office 3 days per week (office located on the South Coast).

Salary for this role is c. £120,000 plus up to 20% bonus and benefits.
