We are looking to recruit a Supervising Social Worker for a Private Fostering Agency. Our client has a well-structured and organised team that are looking to grow their staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. Main duties include:

  • Recruit, assess and monitor the suitability of Foster Carers.
  • Support Foster Carers to evidence their competence against training standards.
  • Provide and record regular supervision in line with the agency's operational standards.
  • Undertake support visits.
  • Contribute to Foster Carer Annual Reviews within required timescales.
  • Ensure that the Foster Carers have an accurate and up to date Foster Care Agreement
  • Identify learning and development needs
  • Undertake initial visits and carer assessments
  • Attend meetings to support Foster Carers, children and young people.
  • Assist in the delivery of training.
  • Out of Hours duty system on a rota basis - £35 per day.
