The salary - 25,000 - 30,000

The location - Dundee.

Hybrid working is available, with the expectation being that the successful candidate would be in office 3 days a week.

I'm working with a fantastic organisation as they look to add an IT Service Desk Specialist to join their client-facing team as it continues to grow. The successful candidate will work within the service desk team to deliver strong technical support directly to clients, both in-person and remotely, so some field work may be involved at times. This is an excellent opportunity to join a training-orientated managed service provider who believe wholeheartedly in upskilling their teams, and is perfect for anyone at 2nd line support level looking to grow their skills.

Your day-to-day:

  • Provide technical support directly to clients both remotely and in-person. Take ownership of technical issues, investigate root causes and deliver timely resolutions.
  • Utilise your in-depth knowledge of IT systems, hardware and software to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Escalate to service desk manager if required.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About you:

  • You'll have experience working within a service desk or IT support environment, ideally in a client-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems including hardware, software and servers.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows tech stack, including Microsoft 365 and Windows servers.
  • Experience with email spam filtering and web filtering.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Mac operating systems is desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills, ideally gained within a managed service provider environment.
  • A clean valid UK driving license is desirable.
