Job Information:
In the Engineering team at Mitie, we keep the lights on within our sites! We areresponsible for maintaining the electrical and mechanical infrastructure across the various sites. This is including and not limited to BMS Systems. Central Battery Emergency Lighting systems. Heating plant systems, chilled water systems, DHW water systems.
Main Duties:
- In this critical role you will be responsible for the facility response maintenance
- You ensure preventative maintenance on site infrastructure is run (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or handled by vendors with your oversight and guidance.
- You have the ability to maintain and carryout repairs and run corrective maintenance on said equipment.
- In the role you are also responsible for preparing and carrying out the required scheduled planned maintenance.
- Completion of site logs and relevant paperwork is a key part of the role.
- You will assist staff with responding to all on-site incidents and act as directed
- Complete work requests and manage contractor's onsite.
- Participates in ongoing infrastructure projects.
- Supervise small works projects i.e. lighting upgrades etc.
- Communicate and cooperate with Facilities Managers and other relevant management teams.
- Authorised Person duties following training.
What we are looking for:
- You have ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- You have previous site experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e. Central Battery Emergency Lighting, UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems
- You are self-motivated and flexible
- Basic level of fitness: Role requires some lifting and access via ladders and gantries
- 18THedition wiring regulations certificate.
- A good working knowledge of using, E-mail, Word and Excel
- Sets and maintains very high standards of delivery - attention to detail essential.
- Excellent communication skills when dealing verbally with clients and customers.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours.
- A Team Player.
- You are self-motivated and flexible.
- Diligent and professional.
- Full driving licence required.
