Your New Role

As a Production/Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our operations. You will design and develop drawings and 3D models from concept through to production, re-design standard product ranges, and design jigs and fixtures to ensure high efficiency in production. You will support the manufacturing and operations teams with continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts. Additionally, you will produce full manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials, liaise with suppliers and customers, define internal standards and procedures, and process engineering change requests in a fast-paced production facility.

What You Will Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you will need a 3rd level qualification in an Engineering-related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment. Essential criteria include previous experience in a similar role, experience in sheet metal CAD modelling, good communication skills, strong organisation and project management skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent IT skills, and being a team player who is creative, open-minded, methodical, and passionate about their role. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are also required. Desirable criteria include experience using SolidWorks, knowledge of type approval standards, experience in automation for manufacturing, and experience in lean manufacturing.
