Client: Principal Contractor delivering onshore cabling works for the Eastern Green Link project
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our client's team for an exciting high voltage cabling project in the North East of England. This role is a key part of the wider Eastern Green Link project, which is set to run until 2029. As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the onshore cabling works, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage onshore cabling works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee civil engineering works, including drainage, testing, and documentation.
- Implement and monitor health and safety management systems on-site.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSG47 guidelines.
- Manage temporary works and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Provide regular progress reports to the project manager.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive civil engineering experience, ideally on cross-country cabling works.
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- First Aid certification.
- HSG47 ticket.
- Full UK driving license and ability to travel to site locations as required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Temporary Works Supervisor ticket.
- Streetworks experience.
