Finance ManagerLocation: County DurhamReports to: Finance DirectorWe are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our manufacturing client in County Durham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping oversee the financial operations of the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director.Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
Monitor cash flow and manage working capital
Oversee cost accounting processes and implement cost-saving measures
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Supervise and develop the finance team
Assist in external and internal audits

Requirements:

Ideally a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and software (e.g., ERP systems)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Experience with cost accounting and inventory management
Can do attitude with excellent communications skills

Desirable:

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Experience with process improvement and automation
