Finance ManagerLocation: County DurhamReports to: Finance DirectorWe are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our manufacturing client in County Durham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping oversee the financial operations of the business, reporting directly to the Finance Director.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital
  • Oversee cost accounting processes and implement cost-saving measures
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Supervise and develop the finance team
  • Assist in external and internal audits
Requirements:
  • Ideally a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and software (e.g., ERP systems)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience with cost accounting and inventory management
  • Can do attitude with excellent communications skills
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with process improvement and automation
