Are you committed to working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to protect children and young people from harm?We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children Social Worker to join our dedicated ASET Team a specialised team focusing on safeguarding adolescents who are at risk of, or have experienced, exploitation.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions: Conduct thorough assessments of children and young people at risk of exploitation, including sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, and modern slavery.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans: Develop and implement individualised care plans for young people, addressing their specific needs, promoting their safety, and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners: Work closely with police, health services, education providers, youth services, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns.
- Provide specialist support and intervention: Offer direct support and guidance to young people at risk, including crisis intervention, advocacy, and support for their emotional and social well-being.
- Champion the voice of young people: Act as a powerful advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their views are considered in all decisions.
- Contribute to service development: Engage in ongoing professional development and actively participate in initiatives to enhance the team's knowledge and practice in child protection and exploitation.
Essential Requirements:
- Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
- Proven experience working with children and young people at risk, ideally with a focus on exploitation.
- Ability to build rapport with young people, families, and other professionals, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Ability to assess complex information, identify risks, and recommend appropriate actions.
- A passion for safeguarding children and a dedication to ensuring their safety and well-being.
