We are looking for an experienced part time HR Advisor (24 hours per week) for a leading manufacturing company in Eastleigh.
The role
The position will report into the Site Director with a dotted line into the VP HR, and the key purpose of the role is to contribute to deliver a proactive and customer focused HR service across the site (and a small site in Woking) by providing effective support and guidance on a variety of HR matters including ER policy and process, recruitment and HR projects.
Duties will include:
- Providing high quality ER advice and coaching to managers, ensuring risks are effectively managed, including advising on policy, procedure and legislation, liaising with Occupational Health and supporting formal investigations and hearings.
- Contributing to policy and procedural improvements and creation and providing updates on changes.
- Supporting with the management of change issues, leading in formal consultations and processing TUPE/organisation transfers, due diligence and redundancy calculations.
- Providing customer focussed HR administration and communication.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date HR records and reports and compiling monthly HR KPI data.
- Leading on operational projects which improve service delivery, including supporting with the development of team objectives and KPI’s.
- Supporting recruitment and selection and overseeing resource planning.
- Working closely with Payroll Team to provide timely and accurate documentation to facilitate monthly payroll for Eastleigh and Woking sites.
- Assisting with the implementation and embedding of new strategies and initiatives across the organisation.
- Supporting engagement, wellbeing and ED&I initiatives.
- Managing HR inbox for Eastleigh and Woking sites, providing HR advice and administrative support
- Supporting with other HR projects and reasonable management requests.
The person
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent experience) with commitment to complete CIPD Level 5+
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
- Knowledge/ Previous Experience working in a HR Department in either a HR Officer or HR Advisor role.
- Experience of interpreting policies, procedures and situations to identify pragmatic solutions/ recommendations.
- Experience of advising and supporting managers on a range of employee relations matters to an appropriate conclusion.
- Experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively with a sound knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation.
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
- Working knowledge of TUPE/Local employee transfer and redundancy processes.
