Finance Administrator (Cash management):

Ageas Insurance has an exciting opportunity available for an engaging and dynamic candidate to join our Team as a Finance Administrator. If you are a Team Player, with excellent attention to detail, and a passion for working with numbers, we would be delighted to hear from you!

The Finance Administrator will ensure completion of all aspects of the department’s responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. The main responsibilities are to ensure all payments and lodgements are allocated and reconciled appropriately, and all queries (internal and external) across all legal entities are handled in a proactive and positive manner.

Main responsibilities of the Finance Administrator (Cash management) role based in Eastleigh:

  • To resolve or escalate all queries relating to cash in and out of the business in line with allocated SLA’s
  • To ensure the daily cheque runs are completed in line with SLA including the recording of issued cheque numbers and to maintain stock levels.
  • To ensure that manual payments received from the business are processed accurately and approved in line with the various authority matrices and in line with the required payment date and that all manual payments are processed accurately to general ledger.
  • Completion of allocation of all electronic payments received against the correct instalment policies, claims or brokers as appropriate.
  • Ensuring all outstanding items are identified, followed through and appropriate action is taken to clear them.
  • Process requests for stopped cheques, debit/credits and copies and traces are processed timely.
  • Ensure effective communication at all levels, including within the Financial Operations management team and peer group.

Skills and experience you need as a Finance Administrator (Cash management) role:

  • Strong numeric skills and attention to detail to be able to handle large volumes of data and effectively perform accurate allocation of monies.
  • Microsoft Office skills are required, intermediate to higher level excel skills are essential to perform various aspects of the role.
  • Previous experience of working in a finance environment is desirable but not essential.
  • A positive attitude towards flexibility and an openness to change
  • An ability to learn and use a variety of software is key to this role. Previous use of utilised systems is beneficial, currently iSeries, JDE, Aurum, HSBCnet and Blackline
