As a Construction Officer - Compliance, you will oversee and manage statutory testing surveys for a wide range of building systems and components, ensuring they meet all necessary regulations and standards. From asbestos re-inspections to roller shutter door servicing, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of our public facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Compliance: Organize and oversee all statutory testing and inspections for the councils buildings, including but not limited to:
    • Asbestos re-inspections
    • Mansafe system testing
    • Safety glazing surveys
    • Roller shutter and automatic door servicing
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all inspections and servicing are compliant with current UK regulations and standards.
  • Record Management: Maintain accurate records of all testing, servicing, and compliance activities, ensuring timely updates and accessibility for reporting purposes.
  • Contractor Management: Liaise with external contractors to arrange surveys, repairs, and servicing, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to agreed timelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Assistant Team Manager (Building Assets) and other team members to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.
