Are you a compassionate and proactive individual looking to support young people with additional needs as they transition into adulthood? Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving Post-16 Special Provision in Edgware.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with students aged 16-19, supporting their academic, social, and personal development both in the classroom and within the wider community. The school boasts a supportive and forward-thinking Headteacher, who fosters a nurturing and inclusive environment for both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with varying additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence.
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups, providing tailored guidance and encouragement.
  • Assisting students with practical skills, employability preparation, and personal development.
  • Accompanying students on community-based activities, fostering independence and life skills.
  • Collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement individualised learning plans.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting young people with SEN, ideally in a Post-16 setting.
  • A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with students.
