About the role:
- Provide tailored support for students with complex needs, ensuring they engage fully in a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons that are differentiated to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
- Help create a safe, structured classroom environment that promotes emotional and behavioural regulation.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs, encouraging progress and active participation.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to foster trust and motivate positive behaviour.
- Collaborate closely with other staff members and external specialists to offer holistic support for students' academic and personal development.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have the right to work within the UK
- Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
- DBS registered on the update system or willing to obtain one
- Comfortable and flexible in diverse learning environments.
- Previous experience working in a classroom setting, supporting children with complex needs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Marking and lesson planning are vital to this role
