Associate - Onboarding Specialist (10-Month Contract)

Are you an experienced onboarding professional with a strong understanding of fund accounting and an eye for process optimisation? We are excited to present an excellent opportunity to join a leading global financial services organisation, known for its exceptional standards and commitment to innovation. This role offers a chance to work in their Edinburgh office within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The Role

As an Associate Onboarding Specialist, you will be an integral part of the EMEA Onboarding team. This team is responsible for facilitating seamless onboarding processes and supporting various phases of client onboarding projects. You will work closely with stakeholders across multiple regions and functions, delivering impactful results and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and articulate the impact of assigned onboarding projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide ongoing support throughout all assigned phases of the onboarding process.

  • Gather, understand, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with operational needs.

  • Develop and review detailed operating models for new and existing clients.

  • Define and document key requirements, including interfaces, processes, and data flows.

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business partners to develop and implement solutions.

  • Actively resolve business issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive progress.

  • Assist in project coordination efforts to ensure timely and successful completion.

  • Deliver training programs and materials as required.

  • Work closely with managers to identify and manage project risks effectively.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
  • Detailed knowledge of fund accounting and/or custody services.

  • Familiarity with operational processes and workflows within financial services.

  • Strong understanding of CIB (Corporate and Investment Banking) products.

  • Knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies, governance structures, and risk management practices.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
