As General Manager, youll be leading our vibrant, passionate team and shaping the future of one of Scotland's best late night venues.
About the RoleAs General Manager of Why Not Nightclub, you will takefull ownership of operationsat Edinburghs leading late-night venue. Youll be responsible for every aspect of the business, fromteam leadershipandfinancial growthto delivering unforgettable events andensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests and employees.
You will:
- Drive operational excellence, overseeing day-to-day management of the venue.
- Lead and inspire amulti-award-winning team, creating a culture of excellence and development.
- Ensure Why Not remainssynonymous with innovation, pushing boundaries and setting trends.
- Oversee the delivery of weekly events in collaboration with our promoter team.
- Be the face of the business, building partnerships and relationships that drive growth.

Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Ensure the venue runs efficiently and consistently meets the highest standards of service and presentation.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing team, promoting staff development and morale.
- Customer Experience: Map the entire customer journey, ensuring seamless, exceptional service at every touchpoint.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, control costs, and drive year-on-year profit growth.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure the venue adheres to all Health & Safety, Licensing, and Fire regulations.
- Events Management: Collaborate with promoters to deliver innovative and unforgettable weekly events.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses, hotels, and corporate entities to attract bookings and grow customer loyalty.
You are apassionate, results-driven leaderwith a proven track record inhospitality or nightlife management. You have the experience, energy, and creativity to take Why Not Nightclub to new heights.
Key Skills and Experience:- Hospitality Expertise: A solid background in nightlife or hospitality management, including the launch of new concepts and creating SOPs.
