The Place
Our client is a leading Scottish-based independent multi-property-based Group mainly operating on the East Coast of Scotland. Owing to recent internal changes within the group, our client has an exciting opportunity to appoint a new General Manager to join one of our client's Edinburgh-based flagship properties. This is a great opportunity! However, it does require any applying candidates to thrive working late nights and not early mornings.
The Job:
Taking responsibility and overseeing all operations in this location along with the DGM & Area Manager, you will lead from the front and be the pivotal General Manager of this unique location. As General Manager, youll train, develop and motivate the team; improving and maintaining standards to ensure the guests needs are met and exceeded. Working closely with your DGM and team you will ideally be from a late night operation with a hands-on remit and not be adverse to a fast-paced customer service environment.The site will be predominantly weekend business-led and for late evening trade with a strong emphasis on the beverage side of the business; however, an understanding of stock and cash management is essential. It is attention to detail in this quality environment which is the key though, the implementation of customer service and the guest experience in what will be a very operational and fast-paced, hands-on role.
ThePerson:
Previous experience working and developing licensed businesses in high-volume and quality venues is essential. You will be experienced in either hotels, bars or preferably clubs in another city centre institute, be proactive in generating and driving sales, and be inspirational to your team. You will also ensure compliance with all Licensing and Health & Safety Legislation is adhered to.
