Contract Type: Part-time – 22-24hrs per week

Reed HR are working with a well-established organisation based in Edinburgh looking for a candidate to join their dynamic HR Business Support Team as an HR Business Partner. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional accustomed to thriving in a fast-paced and demanding environment. You will have operational responsibility for HR service provision throughout the entire employment cycle within your designated Division. Collaborating closely with Divisional Directors and Management Teams, you will influence business strategy, drive its implementation, and develop People Plans that foster a high-performance culture, nurture talent, and create an environment where employees are engaged, motivated, and empowered to innovate and excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide key support to the HR Team in developing and improving operational HR delivery across the Organisation.
  • Contribute to the establishment of HR operational strategy, objectives, and service standards.
  • Deliver professional and value-added HR Business Partnering on a Divisional basis, including the development and implementation of People Plans, HR projects, and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain positive and proactive working relationships with Divisional Directors and Management Teams.
  • Ensure positive and constructive relationships with recognised Trade Unions and employees within the Division.
  • Contribute to the design and development of HR metrics and an HR reporting framework that highlights key people issues and adds value across the organisation.
  • Design, review, revise, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, encouraging best practice application on a Divisional basis.
  • Manage employee relations issues (e.g., disciplinary and grievance) constructively and professionally in a multi-site unionised environment.
  • Deputise for and represent the Senior HR Business Partner as appropriate both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications or equivalent skills and experience at SCQF Level 9 (e.g., Degree or equivalent qualification) in a relevant area such as Human Resources or Training.
  • Proven experience in an HR role within a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive business strategy.
  • Experience in developing and implementing People Plans and HR initiatives.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience in managing employee relations in a unionised environment.
