The salary - £32,000 - £38,000

The location – Edinburgh or Dundee

Hybrid working is available for this role with a minimum of 3 days on-site a week.

I’m working with a reputable Edinburgh-based organisation as they look to add a specialist IT Systems Trainer to their team as they look to continue to develop and improve upon their IT offering. The successful candidate will work across multiple teams within the organisation to support with the design and delivery of training programs for core systems including Microsoft 365 and other business critical systems, including bespoke software. The successful candidate will also be involved in supporting the rollout of new software and systems, including troubleshooting any initial issues and training colleagues in getting the most out of the systems.

This role is perfect for anyone who has a background in IT and a deep passion for supporting others to get the most out of it. From demonstrating how to get the most out of their systems to identifying training needs and developing training programs, this is the perfect role for a people-focused IT professional.

Your day-to-day:

  • You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering IT-focused learning solutions, both in-person and through elearning.
  • Design and deliver training programs on core and team-specific systems, including the full array of Microsoft 365 applications and bespoke systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for both established teams and new employees.
  • Troubleshoot common technical issues as colleagues begin learning new software and systems.
  • Assist with the implementation and rollout of new systems.
  • Carry out training programs across the business, delivering training both in-person and remotely.
  • Develop training documentation and training plans for software and systems.

About you:

  • You’ll have strong experience across the full array of Office 365 applications.
  • Experience with bespoke software packages and systems.
  • Experience supporting the rollout of new software and systems, from developing rollout plans, developing documentation for colleague learning and carrying out training.
  • Experience delivering training courses across a variety of media, both in-person and remotely, for IT systems.
  • Experience with using elearning platforms and creating elearning modules is desirable.
