My client with the biotech space are recruiting for a Office Manager / Business Support Manager to join their operations team in the Edinburgh area.

As a Office Manager / Business Support Manager you will play a pivital role within the operations team of 6.

As a Office Manager / Business Support Manager this role will be varied and everyday will not be the same, which will make this role very exciting!

Office Manager / Business Support Manager Role Details:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the co-management of a busy office and, in amongst other tasks:

  • Responsible for posting all transactions into QuickbooksCredit Control / Chasing overdue accounts
  • Input Supplier Invoices & Credits, matching these up to PO's
  • Ability to do monthly bank and direct debit reconciliation
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Manage hospitality for our customers and prepare our office for customer meetings
  • Liaise directly with our customers
  • Manage colleague travel plans and logistics
  • Support all scientific colleagues with requests out with the laboratory
  • Management of laboratory equipment repairs and servicing
  • Work synergistically with the Laboratory Technicians to ensure orders are timely and fulfilled

Skills / Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an Office Manager / Business Manager position
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • A willingness to learn and to continuously develop
  • Be an excellent team player and work in the Operations Team
  • An eagerness to help troubleshoot and problem-solve
  • An exceptional telephone manner
  • An organised mindset and the ability to cope with multiple tasks simultaneously, and at times under pressure
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
