Role: Social Media Executive – Remote  

Salary: £25k- £35k per annum DOE + £6k bonus  

WorkingHours: 40 hours per week on an 8 week rota

General overview:

We are searching for an experienced and highly creative social media expert to join our client’s team. Due to the nature of the business we are searching for candidates with a passion for football and betting.

The brand is managed by my client who are a social media network. 

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for growing our audience and reach through a combination of organic and paid strategies, while also creating engaging content for our audiences.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media trends, possess excellent copywriting skills, have a proven track record of managing and growing social media platforms, and have a genuine love for football.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement both organic and paid strategies to expand our social media following and overall reach.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and algorithm changes, ensuring a clear understanding of how each platform distributes content organically to maximise the reach of our content.
  • Manage our social media channels by creating engaging, well-written content while maintaining a consistent and authentic tone of voice.
  • Analyse data and insights to guide decisions for organic social media campaigns and improve performance.
  • Develop creative strategies to increase brand awareness, from smaller giveaways to larger, more impactful campaigns.
  • Understand the audience and target market: what type of content they engage with and how they prefer to bet.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify high-quality sports bets, ensuring we consistently provide the audience with the best betting tips, research, and data.

The ideal candidate:

  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, with a strong focus on understanding algorithms and how content is distributed to followers.
  • A keen interest in marketing psychology and its application in digital marketing to effectively engage with followers and drive meaningful actions.
  • Exceptional writing and copywriting skills, coupled with strong verbal communication abilities.
  • A passion for football and sports betting.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fully remote setting, aligned with the team’s goals and vision.
  • A growth-oriented mindset, eager to develop a career in a fast-paced environment, driven to succeed, and excited to contribute to a high-performing team.
  • Willingness to occasionally work full weekends, as required if you want to work in football.

It’s a bonus if you also have:

  • Knowledge of content marketing principles
  • Graphic design skills and experience using Figma, Photoshop or Canva
  • Interest in horse racing, darts or any other sport
