Barker Ross Health Care are currently recruiting for a Team Leader for a nursing home based in Edwinstowe. The home is purpose built and provides personal, nursing and dementia care for 49 residents.
The role will involve, but not limited to:
- Being responsible for promoting residents' independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing and to give input during shift handovers.
- Leading a team to support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents by providing the highest standard of care.
- Supporting our carers to provide personal care and support with daily activities such as washing, dressing and eating.
- Administering medication
- Promoting our resident's choice, dignity and independence always

Qualifications/experiences
- NVQ level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
- Minimum of one years' experience in nursing/residential home setting
- Two years' experience in a Senior Care role in a residential or nursing home setting
- Experience of managing a team
- One years' experience of caring for residents living with dementia.
Essential Requirements for Team Leader
- Minimum of one years' experience in nursing/residential home setting
- Awareness of the principles of Person - Centred Planning
- Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults
- Ability to recognise the signs of abuse and the procedures to follow in the event of an event of an allegation of abuse
- You MUST live withing 30 minutes of NG21 postcode. You will NOT be considered if you live further.
- Full Driving Licence
