Location: Elland
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between 8 AM and 5 PM)
Salary: £24,500 - £29,000, based on experience
Benefits: No weekend work, 1-hour unpaid break daily

About the Role:
Driver Hire Halifax are seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of a client to join the team in Elland. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a dynamic team and ensure the efficient operation of the depot. If you have a proactive attitude, exceptional organisational skills, and a passion for excellence, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Ensure the depot adheres to all Health and Safety regulations, including vehicle compliance.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and motivate warehouse and driver staff, manage holidays, appearance, training, and enforce company policies.
  • Operational Efficiency: Manage routing, customer service, and reporting using the Profit4 and Track systems.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the small van fleet (mainly 3.5t vans), ensure regular maintenance, and maintain compliance with documentation and GDPR regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate depot KPIs, identify variances, and implement corrective measures.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, analyse variances, and schedule expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Leadership: Conduct staff meetings, report to senior management, and provide training and mentorship for new employees.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 year's experience in warehouse operations, distribution, and transport, including experience with 3.5t vans.
  • Strong computer skills are essential, with proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), trafficking systems, Word, and Excel.
  • FLT (Forklift Truck) license.
  • Product knowledge preferred for Pipe and Fittings Industry, but not essential
  • IOSH training is desirable but not essential.
  • CPC national qualification is desirable but not essential.
