OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of each child.
- Provide support to children with special educational needs, including those working with autism, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and encouragement.
- Foster a positive learning environment by promoting inclusivity and understanding among all students.
- Help supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, and transitions between activities.
- Communicate effectively with children to encourage their participation and understanding of tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
- Support the care of toddlers by engaging them in age-appropriate activities that promote their development.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational or childcare setting, is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for supporting children with diverse needs is highly desirable.
- Experience in toddler care or early childhood education would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with children and collaborate with colleagues.
- A genuine passion for educating young people and helping them reach their full potential is crucial for success in this role.
