For the successful Continuous Improvement Specialistour client is offering.

  • Competitive salary £35,000 Per Annum
  • Permanent position

The Role – Continuous Improvement Specialist:

  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, etc. (e.g., Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S). 
  • Ensuring that delivery of continuous improvement projects and activities maintain full compliance with health, safety and environmental, risk assessments, procedures and good practice 
  • Conduct thorough assessments of current workflows, procedures, and systems to pinpoint inefficiencies and cost-saving possibilities
  • Work with Operational teams to develop effective solutions to address underlying issues, minimise waste and identify cost saving possibilities
  • Carry out fact finding and analysis to produce useful data and insights for use in continuous improvement activities and decision making 
  • Provide guidance and feedback in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques 
  • Support the development and implementation of quality management systems, including undertaking audits and lead ISO audits
  • Establish a comprehensive record-keeping system to demonstrate compliance with ISO standards 
  • Responsible for driving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation. This role focuses on optimizing processes, eliminating waste, enhancing efficiency and productivity through the application of Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies. 

What our client is looking for in a Continuous Improvement Specialist:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green belt or similar is highly advantageous
  • Proven experience as a Continuous Improvement Specialist or similar role, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
  • Machinery, Lorry loader, Crane, Automotive or similar background will be beneficial 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised
  • Possess excellent I.T. skills - including MS Office
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with specific engineering processes and technologies as well as change management principles
