Production Manager ( Experienced)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and performance-orientated Production Manager to direct and manage our client’s manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a successful background in managing people, establishing and monitoring performance metrics (KPIs), creating and monitoring production plans and fostering change practices to drive operational efficiency and productivity. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

• Create, execute and monitor production schedules to fulfil customer and business needs.
• Ensure the entire operation is running at optimum efficiency, producing to schedule and cost.

Performance Management:

• Set up and monitor KPIs for all departments to achieve or surpass targets.
• Analyse production figures to determine areas of improvement and take appropriate remedial action.

People Management:

• Lead, motivate and develop production personnel, creating a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Oversee recruitment, training and appraisals of personnel to create a high- performing team.

Change Implementation:

• Manage and direct change initiatives, including new processes, systems and technological implementations.
• Create and implement strategies for operational efficiency and sustainable improvement.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety and environmental legislation and regulations.
• Establish a safety culture and manage regular safety audits and training programmes.

Quality Assurance:

• Manage quality control processes to ensure all products meet or exceed company and regulatory standards.

We are looking for candidates who have five plus years of factory management or similar leadership experience in production processes. They will be preferably educated to degree level in engineering, manufacturing or business. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
