It is very much a hands on position for a dedicated horticulturalist, the job involves leading a small team in renovating and maintaining a beautiful ten acre garden in Loughton, including care of Rose garden, Heather garden and Rock garden, and extensive lawns and tree's.Thesupervision of twogardeners, garden machinery,servicing and drivinghorticultural machinery including excavators. Planting and planning borders with a good plant knowledge.The job also involves pruning shrubs, trees, and apple orchard.
Setting a monthly maintainance plan for the year, and future planning for landscaping work is part of it.
Experience in Spraying plants for pests and diseases, contact and selective weedkillers on lawns and borders is also necessary.
Buying and keeping accounts, costing jobs,and recruiting gardeners on occaision, plusday to day management of the estate.
The applicant should be willing to learn the basic care of the Koi pond and Swimming pool, plus basic operation of the heating systems, and being aware of maintenance issues in the house.
