Junior Accounts Assistant

Remote role - on site twice a month

Qualifications:

AAT part qualified.

Essential Criteria:

  • The candidate must have relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping skills.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables, lookups and other basic formula.
  • Good English skills – written and verbal communication.
  • Experience of an accounting software package.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Good working knowledge of Oracle accounting software.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of consolidated supplier recharges data using excel and the Oracle accounting system.
  • Uploading of supplier invoices to the intranet.
  • Reconciliation of recharge accounts monthly.
  • Ensuring costs are correctly recharged to the business, including resolution of coding queries.
  • Liasing and coordinating with the Assistant Accountant and Head of COO Reporting on a regular basis.
  • Ad hoc tasks.

The Individual:

  • Sound analytical skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and take responsibility - must be able to identify the deadline for a piece of work to be completed e.g. period end and take responsibility for ensuring that the deadline is achieved.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Organised - they must be able to work in a structured way demonstrating an audit trail.
  • Good Attention to detail.
  • Team Player – as a small team it will be necessary to cover colleagues’ workload.
