Design Engineer (Steel Fabrication)

My client is a design and manufacturer within the construction equipment sector who have seen steady growth for a number of years now. Due to this growth and in line with the business plan they are looking to grow the design team again. The design team currently has 4 people. This role would suit a Design Engineer who has a background in steel fabrication design. The role reports in to the Lead Design Engineer who themselves came from graduate level when joining the company. The company fosters a strong ethos of coaching and mentoring bright minded design engineers to help them achieve both professional and personal aspirations.
The Role of Design Engineer:-
- Designing products (both draught and conceptual work) using ProE/Creo -someone from a Solidworks background will still be applicable
- Create BOM's for inventory and stock accuracy
- Manage design projects from cradle to grave for customers
- Create work instructions for production
- The role woould suit an engineer from an industrial, heavy engineering background
Ideally the Design Engineer will:-
- Have atleast 3 years experience in a similar role
- Degree/Time Served/HNC/HND or Equivalent
- Experience designing for fabrication and welding manufacturing methods
