Your new companyHays Senior Finance are delighted to be supporting a growing property/real estate business in the Evesham area with the recruitment of a new Head of Finance on a permanent basis.

Our client pride themselves on offering professional property solutions and are currently on an exciting growth journey with continued plans to rapidly expand their operations and revolutionise the property market.Your new roleIn this number one role and reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for leading the local finance team whilst supporting on key strategies.

Key duties:

  • Review and finalisation of monthly management accounts
  • Complete micro year-ends for a range of properties within the Group
  • Liaising with external advisors on financial matters and completing due diligence in relation to mergers/acquisitions
  • Management of an internal finance team (4 direct reports)
  • Supervision of cash flow reporting
  • Management of intercompany and Group transactions
  • Supervision and review of all other company reports, providing regular analysis
  • Posting and review of finance journals
  • Budget comparison and analysis
  • Process VAT returns
  • Submission of payroll

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven experience of providing rigorous day-to-day financial management and control
  • Understanding of Group accounting and best practice
  • Property background and knowledge of RICS/CMP (highly desirable)
  • Excellent communicator together with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience of managing and developing finance teams
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel and accounting packages (Sage preferable)
