Interim Project Accountant (Process Review & Transformation) - 2-3 Month Contract

Location: Remote with travel to depots in Exeter, South Wales and HampshireDuration: Interim (2-3 months)Rate: £350 - £500 per day, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced Interim Project Accountant to support a fast-moving business as they prepare to implement NetSuite across the group. This role will focus on reviewing and improving the financial processes of one of their key subsidiaries, ensuring that inefficiencies and potential revenue gaps are identified and addressed.

The Role:

Your key objective will be to analyse, unpick, and improve the financial processes from invoicing to cash collection, ensuring a streamlined and effective operation.

Key Deliverables:

  • Map out the current financial process
  • Define what "good" looks like
  • Design a future-state ("To Be") process
  • Identify ways to remove manual work and inefficiencies
  • Present findings and recommend improvements

Who We're Looking For:

  • A highly analytical accountant who can quickly get to grips with a business
  • Strong Excel skills - you'll need to dive into complex spreadsheets
  • Experience in change management / business transformation
  • A problem solver with a firefighting mentality, able to tackle challenges head-on
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from depot managers to finance teams
  • Willing to travel to Exeter, South Wales and Hampshire depots as required
