Role: Trainee Client AccountantLocation: Torbay (all office based)Salary: £23-25k plus full study support for AAT/ACCA/ACAOverview:Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a small, but very well established accountancy practice firm based in Torbay who due to organic growth, are looking for a Trainee Client Accountant to join their friendly and successful team.What you'll be doing in brief:

  • Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies for review by senior staff.
  • Preparation of basic tax computations.
  • VAT returns and other monthly/ quarterly filings.
  • Liaising with third parties to gather the required information.

Experience and skills required:

  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software.
  • Ambitious and hard-working with a desire to learn, progress, and take on responsibility.
  • Problem-solving - ability to integrate large amounts of information and demonstrate logical thinking.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong team working ethic.
  • Have a flair for numbers and hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures and able to grasp and apply core accounting principles, demonstrating an enthusiasm to develop a thorough understanding of key concepts.
  • Good time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders in a professional and clear manner.
