Role: Trainee Client AccountantLocation: Torbay (all office based)Salary: £23-25k plus full study support for AAT/ACCA/ACAOverview:Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a small, but very well established accountancy practice firm based in Torbay who due to organic growth, are looking for a Trainee Client Accountant to join their friendly and successful team.What you'll be doing in brief:
- Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies for review by senior staff.
- Preparation of basic tax computations.
- VAT returns and other monthly/ quarterly filings.
- Liaising with third parties to gather the required information.
Experience and skills required:
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software.
- Ambitious and hard-working with a desire to learn, progress, and take on responsibility.
- Problem-solving - ability to integrate large amounts of information and demonstrate logical thinking.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong team working ethic.
- Have a flair for numbers and hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures and able to grasp and apply core accounting principles, demonstrating an enthusiasm to develop a thorough understanding of key concepts.
- Good time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Communicate with key stakeholders in a professional and clear manner.
