Credit Controller Exeter, Devon£25,000 - £27,000 per annum

Our client, a highly successful company who have experienced substantial growth in recent years and are forecasting further significant growth, is currently seeking an adept Credit Controller to join their expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Credit Controller, your primary responsibility is to focus on cash collection from the debtor's ledger, meeting agreed targets while handling related administration and reporting tasks.

The responsibilities:

  • Chase all debts via phone, email, and letter.
  • Launch and chase resolution of collection-related queries.
  • Update customer notes in finance software.
  • Send routine customer correspondence, including statements and final demands.
  • Build and maintain relationships to facilitate cash collections.
  • Accountable for cash collection figures against monthly targets.
  • Monitor and manage aged debtor levels.
  • Oversee unallocated credits and cash input.

The candidate:

  • Proven previous experience of working in a similar position.
  • Communicate courteously and build strong relationships while being persistent in collections.
  • Ensure high accuracy in administrative tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the team by sharing workloads and assisting as needed.
  • Proficiently operate credit control software, email, documents, and databases, producing business-quality reports.
