Our client, a charitable organisation, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to become an integral part of their dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position offers the advantage of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. They are open to location across Tavistock, Okehampton, Bideford, Barnstaple and Tiverton.

As the Finance Manager, you will lead the finance function, overseeing reporting, audits, and payroll to ensure smooth operations and informed decision-making.

The responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial operations, including reporting, audits, payroll, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Deliver quarterly management reports, budgets, forecasts, and Board updates.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management on strategy and business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with financial governance and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and financial reporting.
  • Improve financial systems, controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead the Finance Team, promoting collaboration and professional development.
  • Act as the main liaison with banks, payroll providers, and financial partners.

The candidate:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills; charity sector experience is a plus.
  • Recognised finance qualification or equivalent, with excellent communication and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software packages.
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs under pressure through strong risk management and collaborative service delivery.
