Title: Senior Associate Family Solicitor 5+PQE

Location: Exeter

Salary: £65-75k DOE.

We are seeking to recruit a confident and technically accomplished Senior Associate (ideally with 5+ years PQE) to support the growth of our client's busy Family team in Exeter. Our client's family team is described by Chambers as "a team of excellent solicitors providing well-rounded, specialist advice to family clients" and is recognised as being specialists in their field.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the Head of Department, you will assume responsibility for handling complex work, including high net worth divorce, finance cases, and private children proceedings. With exposure to high-quality work from the outset, the successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting and developing the wider Family team, contributing to our client's presence in the market through a positive and proactive approach to business development.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have gained considerable experience in different types of family work, including with high net worth clients, and will have developed a strong reputation locally with a variety of clients and business networks.
  • As a Resolution Accredited Specialist, will demonstrate a passion for securing the best outcomes for clients and possess sound working knowledge of private children law and proceedings.
  • As a resilient individual accustomed to working under pressure and meeting challenging deadlines, will excel in their ability to work calmly and professionally across this challenging field of law.
  • Will also possess excellent communication skills, readily gaining the confidence of the clients they work with.
  • Will already have begun developing their own client following or established key contacts and will be excited by the opportunity to continue growing their practise.
