Freelance Quantity Surveyor- Water Infrastructure Project
Rate: 400-450 per day (inside IR35)

The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of a major water infrastructure project. You will ensure cost control, monitor contract compliance, and support the successful delivery of this essential civils scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cost control, budgeting, and forecasting for the project.
- Administer NEC3/4 contracts, including managing compensation events, variations, and early warnings.
- Oversee subcontractor management, including valuations, applications, and final accounts.
- Prepare accurate monthly reports and cost/value reconciliations.
- Provide contractual advice to the project team to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Work closely with the client, project team, and stakeholders to maintain excellent communication and relationships.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor working with tier 1 contractors.
- Sector Knowledge: Civils experience is essential; prior exposure to water infrastructure projects is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Contract Expertise: Strong understanding and practical experience with NEC3/4 forms of contract.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Location: Ability to work on-site in Exeter as required.
