We are recruiting for a specialist independent school in Exeter that supports students aged 11 - 17 with diverse learning needs. This is a fantastic role for a teacher who is committed to inclusive education and helping young people thrive.

The role:

We are seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to join a dedicated STEM department, delivering engaging lessons up to GCSE level. Whether you're an ECT or an experienced teacher, if you have a flexible, student-centred approach, we’d love to hear from you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons at Key Stage 3 & 4

  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual EHCP goals and IEP targets

  • Foster a supportive, trauma-informed learning environment

  • Work closely with students, families and a dedicated SEN team

  • Encourage academic progress and personal development

This school places a strong emphasis on relational practice and personal growth, using creative teaching methods to engage students both inside and outside the classroom.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS or equivalent qualification is essential

  • Experience teaching GCSE English (preferred)

  • A flexible and adaptable approach to support SEMH learners

  • A passion for making education accessible to all students

  • Strong relationship-building skills and a student-centered mindset
