Designated Safeguarding Lead

- Salary: 45,000 per annum
Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Hampshire.
Role Purpose
- Ensure all students, especially vulnerable ones, receive top-level safeguarding and wellbeing support.
- Develop and implement strategies that improve student health, attendance, and success.
- Work with leadership to assess and improve safeguarding services using data and feedback.
Main Duties
- Lead and manage the safeguarding team, providing guidance and performance appraisals.
- Act as the main safeguarding contact, ensuring all procedures meet legal requirements.
- Oversee and improve safeguarding interventions to boost student attendance and success.
- Manage safeguarding records, ensuring timely support for students in need.
- Organize training for staff to improve safeguarding awareness and student support.
- Collaborate with safeguarding leads across campuses to maintain a consistent approach.
Requirements
- Previous relevant safeguarding experience
- Experience managing a team
- Able to start ASAP
- Enhanced DBS
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to work in the UK
