Our client is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Corporate and Commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key member of the support team within a growing and successful firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing general secretarial support including opening files, preparing documents and emails under the fee-earner’s direction.
  • Client onboarding.
  • Typing up digital dictations.
  • Diary management (booking appointments and meetings).
  • Electronic filing and archiving.
  • Producing legal documents from mark-ups, to include formatting and cross-referencing.
  • Invoicing.
  • Dealing with client enquiries both in person and over the phone.
  • Liaising with the Accounts Department over invoice and other accounting queries.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Must have previous legal secretarial experience or an interest in law.
  • Computer literacy with good keyboard / typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience of practice management systems, CRM systems and digital dictation is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high standard of client service.
  • Excellent organisational skills, effective prioritisation of workload and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team.
